"The Pennsylvania shooting has marshaled gun-control proponents, who are calling for more legislation against assault guns such as the AK-47. Peter Hamm, communications director for the Brady Campaign, a nonprofit that advocates tougher gun laws at the state and federal level, said Pennsylvania is an easier state than many to obtain a gun, noting that people can buy guns at gun shows and from individuals and thus avoid a background check.... Mr. Hamm said many people in the gun lobby have been fanning fears that the Obama administration would take guns away. 'They have a lot of people running out and buying guns in a panic buy.
